Day 32 - Sainte-Verge to Saumur

Today was the shortest day of the walk so far at 20.3 miles. It is so surprising what a huge difference that extra few miles makes..

I left the hotel at about 8.00am. However, we had to travel back to Sainte-Verge to the starting point so i didnt actually begin until 8.20am

It was a lovely, sunny day which always helps and also, the day begain with rural, country roads so they are a bit more interesting than the busy, straight roads.

At about the midway point, this changed as we had to go back onto the main road.

The approach to Saumur was, once again, treacherous for both myself and my support driver. Michelle had to literally park on the gass verge several times.

It was actually a relief to reach my destination.

During the day, I had some wonderful news that a few people had booked hotel accomodaton for us... THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We even had an hour or two to see Saumur in the evening. It's a pretty city..

We met a very nice couple James and Marsella who we spoke to about the walk and the charity..

Tomorrow, I go to Angers where we will be meeting Alison again from Reunite International. Looking forward to that...

THANK YOU SO MUCH to Barry and Linda for finding us accomodation tonight...

With the 20.3 miles today... That makes the total - 815.1 miles (1311km)... xx
